On Sunday, March 24th, Syracuse University will celebrate its 143rd birthday. Throughout March, in honor of National Orange Day, Syracuse University Alumni-Big Apple Orange asks that you support our fellow New Yorkers in need by making a donation to the Food Bank For New York City. The Food Bank supports more than 1,000 food assistance programs to provide 400,000 free meals per day throughout the five boroughs, in addition to its work providing hands-on nutrition education to more than 35,000 children, teens, and adults. With 94 percent of donations going directly toward programs, including services for victims of Superstorm Sandy, your dollar will go far in the fight to end hunger.
